““A MOVING AND COMPLEX STORY OF A FORBIDDEN AND ENDURING LOVE AND A FASCINATING CORE SAMPLE OF AMERICAN CULTURAL HISTORY. THIS CONCENTRATED MATERIAL SHOULD BE MADE INTO A 5 PART NETFLIX SERIES.” —W. P. Rosenthal, Writer “Bikini Moon”
The true life soap opera of Frank Provo and John Pickard. Both had been precocious teens working as professional radio actors and writers in the 1920s. They fell in love in the 1930s and became a successful writing team for various radio (Wendy Warren and the News, Young Dr. Malone) and television day time shows. Their show From These Roots was one of the first televised soap operas in the 1950s. The Bachelors of Broken Hill Farm brings to life their love story, the adventures of their group of actor friends such as Julie Bovasso of “Saturday Night Fever” and Jessie Royce Landis of To Catch a Thief and North by Northwest as well as family tragedies. Together, they would endure everything -from WWII, homophobia, the Red Scare to theatrical hits and misses, while living as openly as they could during a time when it was illegal to be gay.

“From the slick, retro opening titles immediately followed by synecdochally thawing oranges, with reaction shots of pool-side domesticated dolphins in the middle of the story, to the lumbering, helpless manatees at the film's end, Yeomans unravels a Floridian tale devoid of trite clichés, rich and native, buoyed with wit and insight into a time and place that can easily be ridiculed by tabloid journalism.” Popstars Review
POSE DOWN (86 mins, s16) is a dark, offbeat dramedy set in the 90’s in Southwest Florida revolving around three former high school classmates –THE BODYBUILDER, THE GOOD OL' BOY and THE HOMECOMING QUEEN - whose lives become entangled after the airing of a tabloid news program. POSE DOWN mines the ridiculous with the sublime in this personal tale about a woman’s unraveling life, and her attempt to “pose down” her past in order to look to a better future.
